I would like to narrate an experience while flying Sahara Airlines. I was scheduled to travel from Delhi to Lucknow, departure time 10 AM. I reached the airport at 9AM & to my dismay I was informed that the flight had already left at 9AM. I was helpless and was expecting them to show me the gate. When I showed them my ticket mentioning departure time as 10AM, the Airlines staff explained to me that the flight timing has changed effective that day, which I was not informed.
The Attendant then asked me to wait and came back after a few minutes to ask me whether I would like to travel by the next day Sahara flight. I informed her that I have an urgent meeting that evening and requested whether she an help me. I was pleasantly surprised when she came back & said that they will book me through Jet Airways Flight ( This happened before takeover of Sahara by Jet ) scheduled to leave around 2PM. They did not collect any additional charges or cancellation charges. Besides, Sahara offered me a place in their Executive Lounge for four hours & provided lunch.
I was taken aback by their fine gesture and left a "feel good" remark in their Guest Book.
Often we have lots of complaining tales about various airlines, I thought for a change let me narrate the better side of the wings.
