I fly 4 days a week and over the last few years, have flown Sahara/Jetlite many a times. The most glaring aspect of any jetlite flight is the ageing fleet they use. Seats are torn, arm rests are held in place by duct tapes and the worst thing is they just dont care.
For example, I regularly take the morning 6:25 flight from Chennai to Delhi and for the last 1 and a half years I have noticed that the hand rests in seats on rows 30, 31 and 32 are broken. This aircraft has undergone a change in livery twice ( from Sahara scheme to White jetlite and then to the white and sky blue jet lite scheme ), but yet the armrests remain un attended.
The air hostesses look tired and uninterested, but they are very courteous. The airctaft itself does not invoke confidence as many a times you feel that she is about to come apart at the seams on take off runs and during the deceleration after touch down.
Punctuality is certainly a plus point with jetlite... I have seldom seen a jet lite running more than 30 minutes late and they do have some very convenient time slots. In a nutshell, Jetlite is good as the last option
