I booked two tickets Mumbai to Delhi on the internet but cancelled them on 29/5/06. I surrendered the tickets at the airport and they gave me a receipt saying refund of approx Rs. 9500/- would be credited to my credit card in max. 45 days time. I never understood why they should take 45 days when even the Indian Railways do it within 3 days.
anyways, it is now 75 days and I havent got the money. Worse, the call centre chaps have no clue as to when it will be given, every time I have to give the same history to every new chap who is online-(what is the use of a reference number????)
today, 14-8-06, I was told that they need just one more week to get the refund done.
This is not the first time this promise has been made.
I want to caution air travellers about the lousy way this airline goes about refunding you your money.
They like to keep your money as long as they can, rightly or wrongly, and give you stories everytime you complain. ( our refund incharge is in Delhi and I have again sent him reminder) but this chap in Delhi is either very busy, or doesnt attend office. so how does one get ones money back?
