Hey guys, need to share this experience with you.
Recently travelled on board Air Sahara to and fro and had the worse flight experience ever.
The fact that Air Sahara was to be bought over by another leading company and a lot of pilots and staff walked away completely reflects in the way the flights are functioning.
On my way from Mumbai, we were informed at the counter that the flight was 45 minutes late with the standard excuse that it had been delayed from where it was coming.
It is not the passeners fault and is still the fault of the airline but of course they refuse to take blame.
Another man on the next counter was too miffed with the airline regarding some excess luggage issue and they couldnt handle him either. He stood there for a good twenty minutes making a ruckus and the ground staff seemed disinterested and incapable of handling his problem.
The 45 minutes turned into almost an hour and a half without any announcement and when we went and inquired the casual reply was - "we are announcing the flight in sometime".
They did announce the flight and we did board the aircraft but the plane did not take off for a good hour and we were at the mercy of the pilot who thought he was being too cute by talking on the microphone with his passengers.
IT is nice sometimes to know what really is happening in the cockpit. But after giving a little jargon about how the rain had one runway malfunctioned and we were in queue. The information should have stopped there but sadly it didnt.
We were informed of how we were seventh in queue for take off and then first but then apparently someone out there didnt like us so we were third again.
IF that was not enough the pilot went on to compare us to sardines in a jar. His exact words if I remember were "I am sure you all must be feeling like sardines in a can in this flight"!!!
That I am sure explains to you the comfort levels of the flight even for a domestic sector.
The flying staff tried hard to be sweet but were not in the least courteous.
The return flight was the same.
It was delayed without any prior information or any announcement. Although it was raining heavily in Mumbai that day so I guess can cut them some slack.
ALso thankfully we did not have captain Danny Desai flying us or else he might have called us god knows what in a can!!!!!!
We did however have the same yuckie food that we had earlier. Even if it is the same sector it cant be the same food even after a week. Although the food is from Taj flight kitchen it still was bad.
Air Sahara has still a long way to go where customer service is concerned.
