Sony tv with a view of taking on star ones nach baliye have launched their own dance reality show jhalak dikhla ja which in fact is a version of bbc s dancing with stars in which internationally stars like cricketer darren gough and wwe wrestler stacy keibler have participated but unfortunately indian version fails to take mainly because of wrong choice of paticipants and complicated dancing styles which have few takers in india and add to that bad costumes which make the show more avoidable format the shows format is same as nach baliye where eight couples participate and one couple is eliminated every week but the difference from nach baliye is that one of partner is a choreographer and they have to perform latin dance forms and after eight weeks winner takes fifty lakhs patrticipants the articipants choosen here are very bad and dont match the quality required for this style of dancing .
while elder contestants like mahesh manjrekar, rati, sanjeev kapoor and ajay jadeja are bad and look out of place and embarrassing shweta salve and mona singh light up the show and add to that choreographers are far superior and make their combination look ba d and parmeet sethi and archana are ok as host and among judges farah khan is quite harsh on akashdeep even when others are bad than him sanjay leela bhansali is biased ans gives wrong judgement while shilpa shetty rocks and costumes are quite shockind and designers need to be replaced
