This season of Jhakak Dhikhla Jaa isn’t as interesting as the previous seasons. Madhuri is missing from the judge’s panel and the dance performances aren’t as competitive as they used to be. Shahid Kapoor, Ganesh Hegde, Lauren are all good as judges, but without Karan Johar the show seems incomplete. Karan Johar was amazing as a judge, the eloquence with which he expressed his opinions, the funny moments with Manish and Shahid and especially his dance on Dafli wale was a treat to watch.
The evictions in this season are also full of surprising twists, when the judges saved Iran Pathan through veto only to have him voluntarily resign in the next week. The roping in of three wild card entries just when 4/5 weeks are left for the finale seems unfair on all the other contestants who have been playing hard to win the game since the last three months.
Vivian Dsena’s elimination came as a shock as he was a Heartthrob since’Pyar Ki ek kahani’ days. Apart from him, my other favourite contestants are Sanaya Irani and Faisal Khan. Sanaya is our very own’Khushi’ from’Is Pyar ko kya Naam Du’, she really brings great energy and enthusiasm on stage. Though I won’t be surprised if Shamita Shetty wins the show, because the judges seem a little soft on her.
The best part of the show is Manish Paul, he makes the show so fascinating with his wit, humour and energy.
There’s no doubt there are some amazing dance performances on the show. Though a little disappointing than the previous seasons, nevertheless its a good show and entertaining as well.
