Rarely comes a film which leave a lump in your throat and a huge smile on your face, Yes its difficult to find and one film in my view that is really hard to come by underated Is what Jhankar Beats is.yes a film that did not do too well at the boxoffice but a film which the audience and critics raved about. Sujoy Ghosh The directer of Jhankar beats was a new directer with this movie and he knew what he wanted.he wants a story of 3 friends and the backdrop of his idol RD BURMAN and compertission called "Jhankar Beats" which 2 out of the 3 friends have lost a few years in a row" They are all mad RD Burman fans a refers to him as "BOSS". A new guy Neal comes into Deep and Rishis life, he is there bosses son and he needs there help to woo a girl(Riya Sen) he likes her if he does not get a girl soon his dad will forcefully get him married to the girl of his chocie. He also is a Gitar player and deep and Rishi are looking for a gitar player.He makes a deal with them that he will play for them only if they help him.With this at work they also have a advertising canpanie they are working for in a team about a condom. Rishi Has his own problems he is going through a divorce with his wife(Rinkie Khanna).
The film is very funny, and had this warm happy feel to it, The story is about two close friends Deep and Rishi and there new friends Neal and there bonds with each other Also Juhi Chawala(Shanti) Who is Deeps wife is very close with all of them too including Rishi and his wife. She is a very caring loving wife. The movie itself has many storys going on but by the end of the film you are routing them on to take the Jhankar beats trophie. the climax is nothing new but the compertissions final song they sing gives you goosebumps! there are a few unnecessary scenes that needs to be trmed by 5-6 Mins, and the editing for the movie is not spot on. But with a great story and many fun moments you will not notice it in the first time viewing
The music for the movie is the backbone of this movie, if you have not heard the song "Tu Ashiquee Hai" you do not know what you are missing, sung in a church and a song that will get your heart beating about love and god. Fantastic song Kay kay at his best! Another song which gave Shaan his first ever bollywood award was "Suno na" by shaan pictured on neel and his girl(Riya sen). Amazing is not any words to discribe this song, simply beautiful lyrics and shaan sings his heart out, a song about your love who you have problems telling her that you love her.Now my personal Favourite pictured on Neal and riya sen "Tere Muskurana" Amazing song, very fast peppy, jumping bouncing, romantic track with also great lyrics that will have your foot tapping.your heart jumps a beat when you hear "kaise yeh nasha hai tere pyar ka" truely mindblowing."Ruk Ruk" another great fun track!.the climax song from the remake of the song "Hume tumse pyar kitna hum nahe jhanti" mixed with "Tu Ashiqui hai" and when Tu Ashiqui hai hits the song gives you the goosebumps.rarely does music do this to me but this album did!
Overal one good movie which did not fare great at the box office because of lack of Boxoffice star value, Rahul Bose made a name after this film he performed really well great comic timing, juhi Chwala was at her best Sanjay Suri as the mature friend is really well, he plays the role of a farther and husband really well.they made a great couple him and juhi chawala.infact I cant beileve she plays his brother in my brother nikhil I just could not see them being brother and sister after Jhankar beats. Rinkie Khanna does her best ever as the stubbon wife going through a divorce, great angry wife.Riya sen is average, but cute as well.Shayan Munshi As neal does really well to I really thought girls would have liked him, he was smart and had a good face value and great dancer.Pity he did not break it back but he does do music videos now.Overal I will post below a link of a few songs of this movie so please check them out and hear them, great movie and check it out.
