A 150 yr old hotel located around 25 kms from Mandu, spread over acres of lands amidst the quiet fields is a heritage place - Jhira Bagh. If you are one of the heritage hotel lovers who is seeking solitude in a popular tourist destination (Mandu) then you may want to opt for this place than any other which is in Mandu. This place is located on the highway but not within the fortified city of Mandu and perhaps 500-600 mtrs from the road - you cant see it from the highway neither do the traffic disturbs you.
All you hear on the rainy mornings is the sound of peacocks, drizzle falling on rooftop and can see every leaf washed to its greens. There is a nice museum which stores the antics from the rulers of the place. The food, ambience, services, location all are good and is well connected by road to Mandu. The rooms (atleast the one we stayed) are large with good views, specially in monsoon. If you are walking to the hotel from the road after sunset, you can see fireflies even - though the road is muddy and gets swampy with the rain -though it was 2 yrs ago - but its fun! A lovely stay!
