Overall, it is not a dumb movie but not a smart one either. Its a masala movie that is alluding to past masala movies in its depiction but without much depth. You’ll find reference to Kajra Re, coolie, Sholay, Taj Mahal, Mughale-Azam, Shahensha, Pratigya and so many other bolllywood classics. Shaad Ali is he’s making a new kind of cinema with JBJ. Those who don’t get it think JBJ is disjoint. But even then its fun. Thos who’ll like the madness movies will like it, otherwise you will be like what did I just see.
