ooOOPPssss don’t get confused it’s not a review on the coming SRK+ YRF film “chuck de India” rather it’s a review of onscreen movie “JHOOm barabar jHOOM”. But still the title is relevant because I would say “hey India… chuck de this movie yaar”. I had no any big expectations from this movie but again I never thought it would be so thrashing. Some people told me that second half is good to watch but I would say, second half is better than first half but still it’s not worth going to any Cineplex and spend your valuable time for watching that obscure drama(comedy or romance I’m still confused).
Craze of Big B may attract few but let me warn that Big B is not there in this movie. Surprised, you shouldn’t be, he is there in promos and unfortunately Aditya Chopra is showing promos in movie also.
Most of the story goes at Waterloo station and this is what I liked about this movie as it helped me to recall my memories when I was waiting for my train to Guildford at Waterloo station. Just for your information, it’s a very nice station and it connects England to rest of Europe via train.
SEL’s music is the only entertainment and some how it compels you to sit at your seat. The title song is rocking and it’s roped in entire movie. FYI, I liked the song “Bol na Halke Halke”. It’s sweet and you may love this song as well.
Director Shad Ali is going downward day by day I believe. His first venture “Sathiya” was great to watch while second venture “Bunty aur Bubli” was average. Third is “Jhoom Barabar Jhoom”, which is no where matching the quality of “Sathiya”. The fame is dooming.
Names given to the characters in this movie are very catchy. Rikki Thukral - wow seems very fancy and smarty, fits to the role of modern day entrepreneur. Alvira Khan - very sweety sweety na, suits to a brit-born princess. Anaida Raja – unique and stylish, even I have started loving this name. Steve Singh – I don’t have anything to say about this name.
Theme of this movie is copied from several Bollywood-Hollywood movies and the presentation seems to be copied from some English-French venture. The entire “khichadi” makes this movie, a suspense for viewers. Now it’s up to us to decide the theme and the presentation.
Actors have given their average performances but I must say Lara Dutta is looking really hot and better than Preity Zinta.
If by mistake you get a chance to watch this movie then be satisfied with those lovely scenes from London-Paris-Agra and Delhi. Looks like an advertisement from some tours and travels company, which gives little relaxation to your eyes.
This movie also shows the future trend of Yash Raj Banner. They are slowly moving towards rest of Europe. They have also started using other European languages apart from just plain English. They are also going smoochie-smoochie way now. Wait and watch more experiments in coming YRF movies.
At last – this movie is not worth watching. Not even a single time as it will only give you backache nothing else. If you like the title song then it’s better to watch promos as they look far better than the movie.
