What happens if in one night you receive three calls from strangers telling u that they are about to commit suicide and you are their last hope...... Somehow u manage to get them out of hook and then u try n figure out if this was a prank played on you by one of your friends??????? and by whom?.... So this is how an interesting movie called "Jootha hi sahi" starts.... And just for the info we come to know that the voice of these 3 callers were "Imran Khan" "Ritesh Desmukh" and "Abhisek bachachn" ..........
JHS is an interesting light hearted comedy movie made by director of "Jane tu ya jane na"(Imran Khan, jenelia starer) Abas tyerwala...
As in JTYJN here also a gang of friends with interesting combination of Indian, pakisatani, japanese people along of variety meaning bro-sis, gay friends etc...
This is a story of Sidharth "SID" who has an Indian bookstore with 2 friends out of which one is pakistani Omar (Raghu--> brilliant performance) and another gay person who tells toilet jokes....
One day or rather night, sidharth’s life turns interesting because of a mistake. His phone number is listed in suicide lifeline. He agrees to help people. In this process he meets miska (Pakhi--> beautiful) who wants to commit suicide as her bf (Madhavan) had ditched her and she was lonely and this is the beginning of conversation and relationship.
Sid, caller, slowly guides miska to meet sid, the bookstore owner and helps her fall in love with him....
First half of the movie is really very hilarious.... Things become serious after madhavan enteres.....
In between things happening are other side stories about sid’s ex and omar, omar’s sis and her japanes lover and also two gay friends.
Good scenes
1... first call at night hello dost at 2.30am
2... 3rd call when sid say suicide kar, nobody cares...
3... Miska goes to bookstore
4... Sid goes to videostore...
5.... All friends meet miska for the first time this is miska from "VIDEO STORE" too good.....
6.... Miska sketching and enters madhavan with a new gf and how sid takes control of situation
7.... Miska discovering in the car that she is a changed person.... this was too good.... some people from audience clapped, ....
8.... end though outrageous but hiularious perticularly sid running n friends coming in car asking him to get in car , sis pretending labour pain etc...
The disappointing part: music is not so effective. Though I liked couple of songs maiyya (but this was not positioned properly, no connection with event) and one more .....
and also its bad to see madhavan in such small role, though he has impact but is wasted ...
Now John is too good looking as well as he has acted good.
Pakhi is also good. The best part is direction by abbas ..... and dialoges are good too......
Overall a feel good nice romcom movie with beautiful london backdrop.
