I came across this site while seeing a page on a blog. Their logo says - "Instant Hotel Price Comparison". After doing a hotel search on Jiffyrooms.com, I saw that this is actually a sort of a search engine of hotel booking sites. For a destination and dates we enter, this site searches several hotel booking sites and shows us availability and tariff of various hotels offered by all those hotel booking sites.
This way one can book with the hotel booking site that is charging the lowest price of our selected hotel. The downside is, by changing the booking site everytime, one cannot get loyalty program benefits of one’s favourite booking site. I was earlier always using Agoda.com for my international hotel bookings. But after searching on Jiffyrooms.com, I found that rates offered by Booking.com or Hotels.com were someties lower than Agoda. Another advantage with Booking.com is that payment needs to be made directly at the hotel and not in advance as in case of Agoda. So now I do not make all my bookings with Agoda, so accruing less Agoda reward points.
One advantage of Jiffyrooms.com is worth mentioning. I found that Agoda.com offers lower rates for the same hotel, same room, and same dates on Jiffyrooms.com than it offers on Agoda.com. That means, even if I book with Agoda.com, I save about 5% by booking through jiffyrooms.com. This is funny how a booking site like Agoda.com can do this. All those people who book directly on Agoda.com are getting cheated of approximately 5% everytime.
Jiffyrooms.com is best for making international hotel bookings and large cities in India. But they do not have many options for some of the smaller centers in India. I hope hotel booking sites in India join the Jiffyrooms.com platform so more people can benefit from this "Instant Hotel Price Comparison".
