Jim Corbett National park is located around 2 hrs drive from Nainital. It is easliy accessible by road through private cars. I have to admit most of the tourists come here from far away to have a close look at Bengal Tiger in its natural habitat instead of viewing it in the concrete jungle.
First of all this park has 5 entrance points. You have to pre book your visit here atleast 45 days before your arrival at one of the entrance point to have a good chance of viewing your favourite animal. They have two time slots, one at morning and other in the afternoon.
Once to sit in the jeep to get set on the forest tour, it is an altogether different experience as you enter the thick forest. Your guide will give you all the information about the park and along with that you will get a chance to view some of the wild animals. If you are lucky you will spot a Bengal TIger(although we didnt spot one).
Make sure you also pre book your Hotel stay in advance as there is no spot bookings here. Also bear in mind that the Park is closed during the rainy season, so plan accordingly. There are also various other sight seeing places around the park if you want to view the same.
