The movie has all the ingredients of a classic.Good photography, acting and lovely music as suited to the era.Historical facts may be contested, but it does nothing to deviate from the sheer scale of the filmography.The cast has put in such a effort, that you forget that Akbar was short and Jodha never made public appearances in the court.The jewelery and costumes are terrific and look antique. I will definitely recommend the movie to my friends.
I approve of the communal harmony theme running in the movie.The length of the movie was a slight dampener, but worth the effort overall. Aishwarya Rai and hrithik Roshan have shown good skills in this movie which is totally different from the differently dressed Dhoom2. Thw war scenes kept me rapt with attention, while the cannon firing scenes made me duck from the balls which looked like they are going to hit me. The controversy is sad, since history has different interpretations and much of the movie is the directors interpretation. Gowariker has produced a fine piece which will bring laurels to him. Historical will get a boost now with the movie being successful. Overseas audiences have enjoyed.
