Jodhpur city makes me feel good...

Hello guys, I have lived in Jodhpur for one year and this review is based on my personal feelings associated with the city of Jodhpur.

Jodhpur is the second in terms of importance in the state of Rajasthan. It is the largest city in the western region of Rajasthan and is also a famous destination for tourists from all over the globe.

Jodhpur can be seen in as two distinct areas, one being the older city established by Rajput Rulers in past and the newly developed modern colonies which were formed by the development authority. Both the areas are equally graceful and tidy. The people wjo libe in Jodhpur speak Marwari which is further attributed to a Jodhpuri accent in versatile styles of Marwari speakers. But Jodhpur’s Marwari is considered to be the most humble and dignified language among all the marwari speaking communities.

The city had a glorious past of Rajput Clans who reigned supreme. The fort of Mehrangarh is a world heritage site and it offers wonderful insight of how the people lived diring those times. The city has a wonderful architecture thanks to its famous stone based construction. Jodhpur stone is one of the most popular stones demanded in constructions of monuments and other official buildings in the country.

There is a natural lake in the outskirts of city and local people love to visit the lake during the rainy seasons. It is marvelous lake which instantly captivates the sight of visitors.

You can reach Jodhpur by Train, Bus or Flight as per your choice. There are many hotels and most of them will surprise you with the kind of service and hospitality they provide. It is a great place to live and I love the city for its simplicity and cultural roots.

Jodhpur has a unique blend of culture and modern society which gives a very good feel to witness such amalgam of society at one place. Every Indian shall visit Jodhpur at least once for seeing the beauty of Rajasthani culture.
