Johannesburg is a huge city with a lot of contrasts. To be truthful I was very frightened the entire time I was there.
In the down town area there were me, with bats, near every alley.
I ate my first antelope steak at the InterContinental Palazzos Medeo Cafe, that is in a garden next to a pool filled with Koi fish.
The Palazzo InterContinental architecture reminded me of Tuscany. I was charming.
Our Guide had us wait in the lobby, while he checked us in. While we were waiting I could see the Cocktail Lounge, the Foreign Currency Exchange and Gift Shop. There was even a man shining someone shoes.
Our room had twin beds, and all of the furniture was made with rattan.
It was decorated in the rust color of sand, and ivory. We had a large closet that was divided in half, one side was for hanging your cloths the other side was for your folded cloths.
Our patio overlook the swimming pool. The room had air conditioning, a round table and two chairs and a mini-bar.
The bathroom was all tiled, and it had a toilet, tub/show and sink. The nicest thing was it had a smokey glass window, that we could open to keep the bathroom smelling fresh.
Next to the sink was a basket filled with shampoo/conditioner, body lotion and sun screen.
There was no safe in the room so we had to put our valuables behind the Concierge desk.

We arrived in the afternoon, and after checking into the hotel we went to see the Apartheid Museum. It was so sad how cruel people can be to one another.
On Constitution Hill we saw the Court House. It was build on the site of the Old Fort Prison.
After having dinner at the hotel, we went to see Sun City. I was very excited, because when I worked at West Edmonton Mall, the owner came to visited me. He wasn’t there when I was, I was told he was at his resort in the Bahamas.
The Resort is in the bushveld, in the middle of a dormant volcano. We went to see a show, preformed by African dancers, and then we were given an hour to try our luck in the Casino.
The next morning we took a tour of the city, and saw the slums and the posh areas of the city.
After the tour we were taken to the Airport to fly back to New York City.
Although Johannesburg is a large city there arent a lot of attractions to see. They are mostly Zoos.
Thanks you reading my review.
