I was just browsing through the reviews and I thought I would share mine. I just watched the movie after a long time it was released.
And I thought it was pretty good. Not just because I am a fan of Pawan Kalyan. But it was nice to watch something different from the same kind of love stories in telugu movies.
Every movie these days is either a typical college guy’s love story or a faction leader’s revenge. And every hit movie is also the same. What the f is good in those dumb stories with nothing different in them. If you have watched johnny expecting it to be like any of those, then it is not for you.
The love story part of johnny is so nice though for a short while, is a lot better than any of the one’s released lately. Action sequences are a lot better, thought the camera work needs to be improved.
The spot recording used for the casual sequences like the ones in the cafe, police station are excellent. The random shots in streets of mumbai with just the music are the things which you don’t get to see very often.
Post-action sequences where the consequences of a scene are shown before the actual shot was a nice try.
And for the costume part, the heroine looked beautiful in the first half and pale in the second which makes sense as you don’t expect a cancer patient to look hot. And Pawan for that role did choose the correct costumes. With the hair falling over the eyes, dirty clothes and without a clean shave gives the perfect gloomy and dark look.
There are some music bits in the movie not included in the audio cd’s. They are also
pretty good.
I would surely recommend this to anyone who is willing to just watch a movie for fun.
