This movie should be retitled ’’Can a Hoe have a Happy Ending?’’
According to director Deepak Shivdasani, YES... she most Certainly CAN. Julie is a young christian girl from goa that loves jesus, loves bicycles, loves her puppy, and loves cock... most notably, her boyfriend’s cock, Neel.
After giving up her punani to neel in an abandoned church cellar on the sunny beaches of goa, he rejects her & gets hitched to an ’arranged’ situation. julie (convincingly played by the beautiful Neha Dhupia who was Miss India 2002 and a Miss Universe 2002 Finalist) heartbroken & stunned, packs to go to mumbai - is this where all divirginized young indian girls go after they get deflowered?
Anyhoo... she stays with her friend pinky & gets a job as a real estate agent. She hooks up with a slimey guy whose name I forgot but is played by Sanjay Kapoor. He vows to marry her on the condition that she turns tricks for his ’clients’. Julie is again heartbroken & the next scene she is crying in agony in the monsoon rains of mumbai (truly a metaphor, if I’ve ever seen one).
Cut into the scene where she has a long discussion with a fat madame who is the diva & true pimpette. Enter Julie the Super Hoe. She fucks in 5 star hotels with rich married & hairy business men. one of them by chance turns out to be her ex, Neel who ends up fleeing in shame after the guilt trip she laid on him of ’’It’s you’re fault! you turned me into a whore!’’ true enough but the scene was a bit patronizing & PC.
Then as she walks out of the hotel, she bumps into the love of her life... Mr. Mihir Shandilya (Priyanshu Chaterjee), business tycoon & rich high caste mofo. They date for awhile but she never tells him what she does & he doesnt really seem to be prying much into her business.
Then she sees an interview of her BF (m. mihir) by a famous talk show host & she decides to drop the bomb & tell the talk show host WHO she really is and who the mystery woman was in mr mihir’s life.
At this point in the movie, it turns into a very jerry springer-esque showdown of reality TV hell. Its actually quite riveting because of the dialogue. I won’t disclose much but I must say... props for some strange & shocking filmaking. This movie shows a lot of skin, kissing, and welll... skin. so yes, its kinda different but not as sleazy as Jism or anything bips basu would act in.
I’m givin this movie 4 stars out of 5.
