Julie=Chameli & Shandilya=Raju

Hmmmmmm lets see if we can twist the plot out of this ’’perverted-glamour-coated’’ social issue raised by the director and story teller.

Imagine Julie as a not-so-pretty run-of-the-mill prostitute (lets call her Chameli for arguments sake........cause the name Julie was not choosen by accident I am sure. But to arouse the masses) and Priyanshu as a regular hard-working-lower-middle-class-wage-earner (lets say Raju). Well obviously the sex scenes wont be that sassy anymore nor will she be ridding around town on a white Benz and she wont have anything to gain from a rich man.............but she still wishes to be loved....and Raju loves her deeply.....like she wanted when she was kid in Goa. What then?

Well you dont always have to be a coporate magnate to get some social respect? Do you? See, how many people you actually meet daily like Shandilya? But everyone has their friends and family and we want respect and we too reciprocate. So would that Raju risk marrying Chameli when the entire society knows her real job? Have that TV journalist been interested in first place?   I dont know the answer to any of that. But I surely know this, that movie would have been a big time box office FLOP.

Coming to the movie it has a plot but there are serious gaps

Major one pointed out by most, and why not, the entire story stands on it............

Why Julie chooses that life? Two heart breaks and thats it....com’maaawn....Nope, does not cut it.......most of us go thru half a dozen by the end of college.......i think she needed a better reason.

And what if she was a not a high-class call girl with a pretty face in love with richest kid on the block, Shandilya (funny it rhymes with Aditya........now do I know someone by that name?) You know the real ones we see sometimes in the dark alleys and red light areas.........I think the real problem lies there; because chances were real slim for Julie to meet Shandilya anyways, so guess who could have been Chameli’s prince in shining armour.

Another thing; I had to watch the movie most of the time between 1.5 to 2X speed (so that I could still hear the dialogues).......could have been easily done in 3/4th the time (1/2 if minus some unwanted songs)
