Would you imagine making a snowmobile out of things found in a junk yard? Think it’s impossible eh? Well your not the only one, when I heard of a show that allowed teams to race the clock and build things like a crane, Hovercraft etc. I couldnt believe it. Finally my fiance wanted to prove to me it was true.
The show’s two hosts do crazy antics while the teams race through the junk yard on little 4 wheelers finding junk they can use to build the task for that show. Each team is compiled of 3 members plus someone TLC brings in as a ’’Professinal’’ who knows what they’re building and works with it. The teams come up with weird names such as ’’Kiwi Fire’’. They get 10 hours to build they’re contraption and have it ready for race day, which is held the next day.
When members arrive on ’’Race Day’’ they get 1 Hour to tinker with thier creations and make sure it’s in working order before the race. They they compete and whoever wins moves on into the JunkYard Wars Semi-Finals, as well as both teams crack open a bottle of wine at the end of the show.
For the Semi-Finals and Finals whoever wins is given a trophy made with....you guessed it....JUNK!
