Here is my review about the film, Juno. Cast include, Jennifer Garner, Michael Sera from Superbad fame, and Ellen Page who plays the protogonist.
Special mention has to be given to the music composer for some excellent tracks and also the cinematography has been refreshingly good. A definite 9 to the technical team.
The movie revolves around Juno a 16yr old girl who faces unplanned pregnancy and decides against abortion. She plans to donate the child to adoptive parents and what follows forms the rest of the story.
The cast has done its homework and Ellen Page scores brownie points for her acting skills. In an offbeat movie, a movie about a serious issue taken up on a lighter vein, but not giving the wrong impression... its just difficult mentioning all this, just imagine her doing all of this ad carrying the film on her shoulders.
Though the movie wanted the US teens to understand about teen pregnancy, the effects it can have on life, it goes about on a untreaded path to give the message that whe you cant beatem join em. So, they meant to say, when alls lost, adoption is better than abortion, considering the teen mindset in US nowadays.
The movie is definitely watchable for its slick and crisp screenplay and storytelling and there are some catchy songs and good comic scenes, not the in face humor though. I will rate it 7.5 on a scale of 10.
