Pride entertainment’s ‘Junoon’ is directed by Sanjay Khanna and produced by Roopa Shetty. It has music by Aadesh Srivastava and Lyrics by Nida Fazli and Shyam Raj.
The album has 6 tracks, all of which make for easy listening. Side A opens with ‘Hey Rama’ by Sunidhi Chauhan and Chorus an interesting number with creative music by Aadesh that develops an instant rapport with the listener. A neat package of salsa, rap and disco styles this. Sunidhi seems to have taken a calculated risk in the rendition of this number and has stood out in flying colours. An item number that begins with a bang and ends with a bang will surely go down well with the masses. Side B begins with ‘Saason Mein’ by Alka Yagnik that is already a hit among music lovers throughout. It’s a touchy song with a feel good attitude about it. The song’s already topping musical charts and is well poised to reach the top.
The lyrics are very much alive and kicking, while Alka seems to have left no stone unturned in shaping this number to become a crowd favourite. Positively, the best bet of the already good album. Last track on the album ‘Junoon’ by Sukhwinder Singh is a trademark hit number especially composed for the talented singer. As soon as it opens, the number commands complete attention from the listener and stays up to mark till the end. Sukhwinder as usual takes the rendition across all the pitches in the musical chart of notations and does it in style too. In the first half of the song we only have soft instrumentals here and there but the second half comes with a surprise package. Although it keeps shifting between slow and pacey tempos it doesn’t distract or disturb the listener. A new style of music has been attempted and Aadesh has come out triumphs…top of the charts.
