JATC as Just Around The Corner is popularly called is one of its kind. And I say that in a nice way.
The restaurant offers buffet service which is what I like best about it. You have the freedom to choose what you want eat more or what you want to eat less.
Although earlier it was promoted as a health freak joint that is necessarily not true. Because the tastiest thing in there that I have eaten is the brownie.
The buffet offers varieties of salads - the vegetable kind sprouts and others. And alongwith there is also regular food. There is Chinese and Indian.
You can also order in a sandwich if you may please.
It is a self-service joint. So even if you want a glass of water you have to take the trouble of getting up and asking for it. Which is a little irritating at times since you are in a restaurant and are paying for more than just the food.
The decor of the restaurant is nothing to boast of. Although they have a decent enough magazine rack with the latest magazines and newspapers - in case you are eating alone or are in boring company!!
In the evenings, it is nice to even sit on the outside. If you can bear to sit on plastic chairs and eat on plastic tables, that is.
Some patrons do feel that the restaurant is a little on high-price side. Which is absolutely true. But then good things in life always come with a price.
