Back in January 2003, my sisters and I came to Mumbai for our friends wedding, Reena and Bosco. Let me tell we had THE BEST time of our lives. We were introduced to Just Around the Corner by our yaars Sonia, Eijaz, Roshni, Reena and Mona.
Every morning before we set out to go shopping we would take a riksha to JATC and have our breakfast there. The service was wonderful and everyone had a friendly smile on their faces.
My usual was The Chicken Afghani, which wasn’t really very Afghani and this I know because I’m from Kabul, Afghanistan. None the less it was delicious. My older sister would pile on the salads while my younger sister ran straight to the cakes and brownies.
The prices were excellent for the quality of the food and portions were got. Every morning our nice waiter knew my usual tea drinking habits and would go right next door to the drink stand and get me a cup of hot chai.
Every time we were in there we would fill out a guest card with our comments on it.
All in all JATC will ALWAYS be remembered all the way on the other side of the world. Counting down the days till we come back for another trip of a life time!
