Recently I was looking for catering services online and like a lot of services, google popped up justdial’s service for catering. The top of the list was Balaji caterers which had a review rating of 4.5 of 5. I had trusted that Justdial’s review would be authentic and hence went ahead with the services of Balaji.
Balaji caterers service on the day of my daughter’s birthday was quite disappointing. First of all they arrived really late, instead of coming by 7:30 PM sharp, they came only by 8:00 PM. Since they had to carry the food for about a 100 meters within the campus, they could only be ready for catering by 8:30 PM. The bad experience was exacerbated by the quality of food as well. On top of it, the people serving were not professional. Instead of serving starters to people on the floor, they mixed it up with the main course.
Overall on a special occasion of my daughter’s 10th birthday, this catering experience was very bad.
As if it was not bad enough, Justdial refused to take in a feedback on this caterer claiming that since they didnt recommend the same, they were not liable for taking a negative feedback. Isnt this absolute silly that you are prepared to take an unsolicited positive feedback but not the negative one. In a way, I was fooled by Justdial’s rating although it wasnt an overt one.
