Do not trust the information provided by them:
I called justdial for a list of placement companies that provide house maids in Aug 2011. They sent me some numbers and soon enuf I started receiving calls from a company called 3G Placement Services. After a lot of interrogation and a visit to their office I signed up for this service in Sept 2011 for an annual fee of Rs.3000/-. the condition being that if I don’t like the maids that they send me - I can claim a refund. they sent me some maids. but none as per the specifications I had mentioned in my registration.
In November eventually I decided to cancel the deal. As per their terms they would deduct Rs.900/- and refund the balance within 1 month from the date of cancellation. I started following up for the payments. but there was no response. the phone number that I have now says "income calls are barred on this number". I visited the office. but they have shut shop.
I eventually called justdial. bcos I had got the number from them. they had no clue of any company registered in the name of 3G placement services. nor did they have the phone number registered. I found this rather shocking.
i have lost Rs.2100/- in this deal, but have a great learning. they are gud enuf for phone numbers of local stores etc. but never to trust them with information pertaining to important issues and specifically where money is involved like my case.
