I understand your pain and suffering as I have also advertised with JD since the last 6-7 years and continue to do so. Even I have undergone similar experiences with them. However, the trick is to talk to their Customer support helplines, try mumbai@justdial.com, or feedback@justdial.com, if you mail there customer care they will get back to you and if you handle it properly you should be able to resolve the problem satisfactorily. If all else fails try mailing there big boss : ramaniiyer@justdial.com, My experience was pretty much similar. I had paid a huge amount for there call prompting where they are supposed to prompt callers regarding our services and those who show interest will be passed on to us. However, the response was nil.
They happily, appropriated and kept my full amount saying that the promised number of leads had been passed on to me. Whereas no leads were passed on and we requested them to cancel and transfer teh funds to other listings with them. After I took it up with there executives and the customer care people and escalated the problem, of course, I had to also make a personal visit to there office here in Blr, I was able to get the funds transferred to another business listing of ours with them. I would definitely agree with you that their service levels are pathetic and the advertisers really dont seem to get much by advertising with them.
After this I am still advertising with them but their service levels continue to be pathetic and below par. If they dont improve their standards I may not advertise with them much longer.
