I was a bit late in watching this movie, nevertheless I had great satisfaction of watching a realistic lovestory. Until I read the reviews on this site, I never knew it was based on a real story. After watching the movie I felt like I had inhaled a very fresh and fragrant breath of air.Kaadhal comes as a refreshing change after all this routine love stories. No doubt this is an ordinary rich girl meets poor boy story but kudos to the director for making it beautiful and look natural.
The moments where the couple meet each other, hero going to school for the heroine, the moments in the bus, the hardships they face , not to forget the
heros understanding about the heroines needs all these are picturised realistically.
Many a young lovers can take a lesson or two from this movie regarding the hardships of life.
The lead pair excel in their performance and its bharat who steals the show followed by sandhya. This is bharats second movie in a different role after the reema sen starrer Chellame. He seems to be next to surya in experimenting.
Keep it up young man, You will be giving tough competition to top stars if you
continue this performance.Bharats naive expressions and natural acting is a
big plus for the film. Sandhya too has given a good performance not seen in
many debutants.
Music is ok with the song tottu tottu being the highlight.
Madurai dialect has been captured well in this movie which makes the movie
look more natural with even the lead pair speaking the same. The Heroins grandma
reminded me of my own grandmother with those large ear rings and the way she creates fuss.
All the supporting actors have performed well not to forget a mention about the heros friend sukumar and the little mechanic boy. Some scenes like spitting in the tea could have been avoided.Such scenes does not go well with such a beautiful film.
The movie has different ending, the scenes where the heroines cries and weeps sounds noisy though. It could have been made little more subtle.
Overall a very clean and decent movie with good performances by the cast
and a good script and good dialouges. Worth watching even two or three times
