Are the expections of the indian audiences rising or the bollywood movies are really getting from bad to worse. Had not expected a movie like kaal to come from the karan johar banner. The movie kaal has nothing worth to spend your salary money on it. However after roping in Shahrukh Khan and Mallika Arora Khan for the title song and the hype that Karan johar had created about the debut director Soham’s direction are just puppy talks delivering nothing exclusive to the senses of the Indian audience. They said it’s the jungle movie which no one had experimented with before , and they are totally right it’s a jungle movie and if the characters were not casted in it , I think the masses would have not minded at all , because all you see in the movie is the jeeps , trees, large forest areas and never – ending nights….. funny that in the jungle where the whole movie revolves around they just find one dear, a rabbit, a owl, three tigers and some skeletons of dead animals ……. Which I am not sure were animal skeletons ….
The movie starts with John Abraham (finding out of the murders series that were going around in Orbit National Park which sounds like the long lost twin of Corbett National Park that does exist in real life. He along with Esha(Rhea)( who is always wearing belly showing short clothes that hardly match –up to her ankles, wonder if she had taken permission from her mom for this, working for National Geograhic plan to go to the park themselves to unveil the mystery.
On the other hand there is this group of friends who are on for a vacation and are looking for adventure which includes the pair of Vivek (dev) and Lara and the two other male jerks who are accompanying them. On their way their car gets KHARAB and on your journey to KAAL you will find many such car KHARAB”s, and they meet a guy who actually tells them about the national park and they head-on for it. On their way again they meet John and Esha who again are stuck because their car gets Kharab and then the two join the other four and that’s how the movie continues……….. On their journey they meet Ajay Devgan who is KAALI who saves them from three tigers without even doing anything, he just walks in and the tigers disappear in the elephant grass. He tells them some dhasu dialogues and they shue him away…..The mystery reveals when Esha who is shown always dying of thirst and even the ocean would not be enough to quench her thirst gets pulled by a force in the well when she is removing water to drink and then the mystery starts getting solved. Can’t write anymore because recalling the movie causes more headache than after I had seen kaal, had taken 2 crocin painkillers after reached home.
To clear all doubts that you have about the bhoot ……… that person is Ajay devgan for sure… trust me have seen the movie.
Songs are a sheer waste because they come in the end by that time half the theatre is already empty. NO one in the movie has a meaty role. Location is Okie can’t say much of it anyways. “Soham is the star behind the movie that’s what Karan Johar kept on repeating in his interviews.
I say “This star needs a lot of polishing before he is ready to shine.”
