Kaal is a movie made witha lot of zeal and enthusiasm, but something somewhere went horribly wrong.Director Soham (with touches of RGV and the stupid Johar seen throughout the movie) has tried to come out with an offering that is completely different and radical. But ultimately, it is a tale of poor supernatural bhoot-pret and aatma stuff. No real suspense in the movie, with it being fairly evident during the first hour itself as to whats gonna happen in the end.
Vivek Oberoi has done the worst film of his career, which is going downhill anyway.Films like these arent going to help his cause even a little bit.The film focusses on trying to make it seem that VO is the killer, but fails.VO lacks conviction in essaying his role, and the role itself is very poorly sketched.
On the other hand, John Abraham has done a decent job of his okayish role.Among the ladies, Esha Deol is actually looking better and hotter than the slightly overweight and poorly acted Lara Dutta. The stars of the movie are undoubtedly Ajay Devgan, who seems to be doing everything right these days, the man with the Midas touch; and the two songs (opening and closing credits) where all actors gyrate lustily to some good music.Shahrukh doesnt fit the item number part at all, but madam malaika is looking sensational and scintillating as usual.
The movie---plz dont waste your money.Actually, watching it on VCD and promting piracy is a good idea because that will deter such movies from being made!!
