First day of the movie in theatres, a lot of hype , lot of promotions like kutting with karan on t.v.. But all of that means nothing when you come out of the theatre realising you had wasted your money on a movie that neither is a complete thriller nor a horror nor a suspense creator.
The PLOT
The movie starts with kaal dhamal as the opening song , WE are first introduced to Vivek Obroi(Dev) who in his first car a SUV , driving for fist time races to top speed 180kph as he has been transfered to the sets of DHOOM. After the car stops at the entrance of CNP we find that it has Lara dutta (Ishika) along with their two friends who are so relaxed by travelling at such a high speed except Ishika who constantly tells Vivek to slow down , but he likes risk and Ishika being a intutive person realises that something is going to happen. Suddenly a Black cat comes in the middle of the road and the car skids to a halt. No one sees the cat but when they rach to the dhaba at a which hasn’t had customers due the rumours of man eating tigers, they open the bonet and seen the cat skin roasted and blood all over .
In the meantime we are introduced to John Abrahim(Krish Thapar) as a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC expert who specialises as expert on tiger behaviour. He gets this project to research in corbett national park to investigate the killings that have taken during the past two months in which ppl who (mainly experts ) went to the jungle (the core area of animals) get killed by a man eating tiger. His wife Esha Deol (Riya) also joins in for the research as a photographer. Then to their aid comes a driver Bagga (Sunit Verma) who in place of cash takes them to the path of which one road goes into the park and second to their farmhouse . Sajid their friend gets excited of poaching a big cat so they go towards the park for some fun . Soon their vehicle crashes another one in the middle of the road with another , at this point John and esha meet the four of them . As the car of john gets damaged they all travel in Bagga’s car but John in his mind knows that some 1 is there , when returning by a distance of 25 mtrs , they found the john’s car driver killed. but no one says nothing , his body not shown , but move on .
A lot goes in between , the cottage in which they stay, the keeper gets killed . then they go along the core way but here three tigers are seen standing in front of them , ready to attack, Vivek fires two shots in air but to no effect, then comes there saviour Ajay Devgan (Kali Pratap Singh) and the tigers immediately get away. He says it’s his jungle, he lives here (Mowgli got big) , all this is getting recorded in a sony handycam . All of them now want that Kali should help them reach out of the park .In the meantime Sajid wants to hunt so goes into the core area alone with a little revolver and xperiences some unusual things before his head gets ripped off .
All of them begin searching 4 him and find his jeep(Don’t know where he got a second jeep from) they are all shocked . Now the journey of getting back begins , Bagga drives so fast on a rough road (no reality) that it hits a tree and gets stuck but no one’s hurt . Bagga tries to repair the damage done but mysteriously he dissappears leaving the jeep. Now everyone is scared , except Kali, they get into a little talk , ( all this is recorded to in the handycam ) coming to the conclusion that they have to cross the river b4 and reach a second cottage b4 night . Their friend is so shaken up after three deaths that he wants to drive on a kachcha wooden bridge, so everybody gets in , at next moment their jeep’s stuck and explodes with their friend jumping like a kangaroo in water. Ajay, esha, john, vivek, lara all on other side ask him to come at earliest as in water anything could happen . but as he starts to come , another explode and jeeps window crashes into his neck ripping his head (WOW what a special effect !!) Now they reach a place which looks like a house with a well in front of it (Kali says : kuen ke paas mat jana ) but no one pays heed to his talks, specially vivek who is dumb struck by his talks and speaks his fav line : CUT THE CRAP.
Its night, every1s sleepin, esha is thirsty, she slowly goes towards the well to see her friends spirit standing and gazing at her , suddenly it dissappears, she doesn’t scream, then calmly she takes water out , drinks a little, then as she walks back , her foot gets trapped into the rope and she is pulled in the well only to be drowned and die. Only 4 are left now , they come searching and found her body lying in the well. Vivek realises who the mysterious killer is, he then shows the handycam video to all, by the time devgan arrives with the sticks for cremation of esha , all of them run to save their lives, suddenly their driver Bagga suddenly appears with a forest ranger (Parmeet Sethi- Whats he doing in this film) to save them .
