After four years.. The brain behind blockbusters like KKHH, K3G takes the director seat along with his usual powerful starcast... add vetern Javed Akhtar And the music trio Shankar Eshaan Loy ..whom are riding high after their success like KHNH Bunti aur babli..With all this having said.. if the album is anything lesser than extra-ordinary, the team will be highly dissappointed and will have a severe blow to its budget.So all the pressure is on the musical trio to come up with their best...... THEY DO.
This album cannot be compared with bunti or KHNH... In fact I think it is a complete waste of time comparing any two albums because.. the look, the situation, the subject, the expectation, all differs. This time around.. Karan comes up with a sad number for the title track.. which starts off the proceedings in this album.
A brave move to have a sad opener..considering Kuch kuch hota hai’s first scene..it really doesn’t matter. I am not into this sentiment things that a opener should always be a happy one etc... Ive said it is a brave move because the opener sets the mood of the album.. If this song didnt connect with you , you will probably turn down the album after hearing it. But this song has more than enough +ve to come over as one of the best title tracks in recent years.
KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA is sung by Sonu( king of sad songs) and Alka yagnik. This song has beautiful lyrics which has captivated the scene of two people PARTING away from each otherwith sheer brilliance. Moreover there is this Sonu factor which makes this song truly amazing. After the title track.. the musical trio gets into the current mood of the nation... the pakistani voice stuff.. This song is called MITWA and is sung by Shafqat Amanat Ali, Shankar & Caralisa. Caralisa opens the song with singing " LOVE WILL FIND A WAY"..Penned beautifully by Javed Akthar..This songs has a distinct indian classic meets pakistani classical feel.In one word.. CLASSIC. This song is a sure shot chartbuster in all manners.
No matter how many times you hear this .. you will never get enough of it. Now enter into the party mode with "Where’s the party tonight". This song brings together Shaan, Vasundra Das, Loy & Shankar.The song starts off with funky music and completly blows your mind in the proceedings.It will be loved by all kind of stuff. This is my friend’s fav track of the album. The video once on air will set this song on fire.AMAZING. Then comes the romantic track of the album, "TUMHI DEKHO NAA..." .
The romantic songs should have a soothing melody feel and lovable https://lyrics.These are the two things that will seperate a beautiful romantic track and a disasterous.Thanks to Javed and S-E-L who gives the required treatment in more than required amount and makes sure this song is not left out in any manner. MITWA REVISITED is the remix of MITWA and is as imperssive as the orginal.There is nothing more to it than what it is supposed to be.
Finally my most favourite song of the ALBUM...." ROCK N ROLL SONIYE".This is a very cool hip hop song that is truly extra-ordinary in every means.This song may have been picturised on AB sr. It sounds so... It has enough of everything to make it the best song of the album. Including some lines from old hit songs has worked out brilliantly. The song ends in a very racy manner which is mind blowing. This is going to be song to celebrate and KARAN can be called a isiot if this song is not picturised greatly.But knowing Karan....he will do a great job I guess or at least I hope so. This album has a special offer for pc owners as they give away the trailor with it along with the movie’s wallpaper. TRULY GENIUS.
Having said all this it is all upto Karan to make it look well. Moreover I guess SRK has some defect in his leg by playing football.. I guess. So he really can’t dance in parties that well...or screw up logics and make him dance well.... Lets wait and watch what KARAN HAS DONE. THIS ALBUM IS WORTH MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAY FOR IT. DISCLAIMER: ALL OF THE THOUGHTS AND FEELING ABOUT THE ALBUM ARE MINE. THIS NEED NOT NECESSARILY MEAN YOU WILL FEEL THE SAME WAY TOO.
