DAMP SQUIB,LITERALLY

I was waiting for this album with bated breath, and was quite disappointed when I listened to it.The album begins with a title song which has striking resemblance with KHNH title song . Sung by Sonu and Alka Yagnik, this song is not exemplary as the title songs of Karan’s earlier films were,

RATING--2.5/5

The next in the line is ’MITWA’ which is sung by Shaquat Ali Khan and Shankar Mahadevan. This song is a blessing in disguise.Simply great music and coruscating singing makes this song even and peerless tastier than than tempting piece of chocolate cake.

RATING--4.5/5

’Rock’n’Roll Soniye’ is a OK.Shankar is a misfit and Shaan sucks in this song. The only noteworthiing thing in this average song are the beats.

RATING--2/5

’Where’s the party yaar’ is apalling.Shaan and Vasundhara Das sucks. After hearing this song I wondered that is this is the same singer who sung ’Chand Sifarish’ from FANAA.

RATING--1/5

’Tumhi Dehona’ is good but again doesn’t provide that nostalagia one would expect from songs from Karan Johar film.Singing is good but music and lyrics are strictly okay.

RATING--3.5/5

’Farewell Trance’ is a effort well made but the effort doesn’t succeed to elicit good result.

RATING--2.5/5

The album doesn’ satiate your musical taste. It doesn’t break the standards set by KJ ’s films.I advise Karan Johar that he should return to Jatin-Lalit for the music of his films. They truly make his fillms more worthable and listenable. Anyways, all the best for the film.I hope the film acts as redeeming factor   for the poor music. The album is zilch as compare to Fanaa and Gangster.

Wake up SEL .
