Just got a KANK songs VCD the other day and after watchin and listening carefully, decided to come up with this review.
The title track first. This track immediatel reminds you of KHNH title track and gives a somewhat repetitive feel. However the saving grace is Javed saab’s lyrics and wonderful rendition by the singers Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik, Sonu in particular.
The next track to feature is Mitwa, this is undoubtedly the best track of the album. The tune, the rhythm and good lyrics make it a overall good track specially the crooning" love will find a way". However the rendition by Shafqat is a turn off as he sings the song in an anglo style, which really sets off the mood. The song comes in two remix versions as well.
Where’s the party tonight sounds like its the time to disco part two. However, after seeing the video you feel how better the latter actually was. Abhishek bachhan tries so hard to dance but he fails miserably. I simply fail to understand why directors want him to dance if he cant even to save his life. An otherwise average song.
Tumhi dekho naa is melodious to the core and really soothes the listener. It has an absolutely melodious tune with good lyrics and Sonu Nigam behind the mike with Alka Yagnik make it an amazing track.
Follows, Rock n Roll soniye with the video featuring Abhishek again being the turn down. Just an average track on the lines of Shava Shava from K3G.
The instrumental Farewell trance, though is good to listen, seems heavily borrowed from tracks of Enigma.
Overall an average album, nothing extraordinary to it. Better listen to KHNH once again.
