Always HAAN to Watch Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa

I remember a long time back this was in 1993, Shahrukh Khan was going through the best spell of his career, he got an amazing hit with Baazigar which he soon won the best actor award for. He was doing various Negative roles but somewhere in the middle he did a film which was totally different a film which was so down to earth and no larger then life characters in this film. A simple film which went “Just Average” at the box office, which I think should be one of the biggest ever bollywood hits. A film you can watch over and over again without getting bored, This film has been forgotten down the line and still many people I talk to today ask me what is one of my favourite films I say “Kabhie Haan Kabhie naa” and they say to me “What film is that?” and I think to myself how can such a good film like KHKN be forgotten down the years. Most of my college mates are huge SRK fans but they have not seen SRK best performance, I sat my friends down to watch this film! and at the end of the film my mates was speechless I could tell one of them wanted to drop a tear as it touched him so much. He asked me “Why the hell hadn’t I heard of this film before” and you know what I would like to say is that this film did not get enough credit then it deserved! Amazing music with each and every songs being classics to me and an amazing BRAVO Story! The story is of the film is simple and heart touching, it’s a film about your first love in this case it’s a film about three people Sunil (Shahrukh khan) Anna (Suchitra Krishnamurthy) and Chris (Deepak Tijori) The whole story is concentrated on Sunil he has 2 passions in life and that is music and Anna . His father wants him to help out in his garage, But Sunil has other plans. Sunil is in a music band and along with Anna, Chris (sunils friend) and many others. They are looking for there big break at a night club called China Town. Sunils other passion in Life is Anna the female lead singer in the band who he loves madly and is crazy about, but so does Chris love Anna as well. Sunil knows how much Chris likes Anna so he attempts to keep Chris away from Anna, Sunil loves Anna so much and is crazy about her. He can do anything for Anna and he wants to win her over from Chris. Will Sunil succeed in winning over Anna heart? I am sorry I will not say anything but watch this amazing film for yourself, also will Sunil and his band get the job at China town? Will Sunil work in his dad’s garage? People people people!!! Please watch this film for yourself because I find it a Huge shame Spoiling this movie for you about what happens next, all I can say is girls make sure you got a tissue box and also a clear throat because you will cry and laugh like hell throughout this movie. The performances in this film are really good the most original performance from shahrukh khan will be seen in this film! Shahrukh khan has said it himself KHKN is his best film! Shahrukh Khan as Sunil does amazingly well; this is one of the best performances ever! His face expressions at the wedding party when Chris and Anna starting looking at each other and sunils reaction make you feel for him, (Please don’t read the next part if you have not seen the movie) The next scene after the wedding when Sunil is playing his trumpet, the music matches what he is feeling and you see pictures of Anna laying right next to him as he is heartbroken as he plays his trumpet, he looks up into the sky and the and a star fly’s by, sorry people but to me that is one of my favorite scene in the whole movie, Sunils younger sister then comes up to him and gives advice. Shahrukhs face expressions when he says the lines “Chris ke paas Ghadhi hai Factories hai Bhangla hai” amazing acting also there is one other scene that I love in this movie Yes you people guessed right when Sunil goes to ask Anna parents for Anna hand in marriage the way he acts in the scene with the lines “Mr Gonzalist, Misses Gonzalist”…”Mr and Misses Gonzalist” That line just cracked me up, what touched me the most was what Sunil said the way he said how much he loves Anna to Anna parents “Mein Anna Said Bhaut….Bhaut…Bhaut” he could not finish as you can see the pain as Sunil talks he finally says it “Pyar Kartha Hoon”… His acting there just touched me! I have never ever felt so happy in a film when I though Sunil finally was going to get Anna, this is how good his acting was in the film! Hats of to you SRK no one could have brought life into Sunil like you did! Deepak Tijori was very good as Chris, and he was really good to watch, he also acted well in the movie. Suchitra Krishnamurthy as Anna (now why haven’t I seen her in another movie after this?) she did really well in this film she looked cute and she acted well. Naseeruddin Shah is also in this film with a small role as the priest and he does amazingly well I especially like the scene where he tells Sunil “Sunil..Sunil..Sunil, Tum Hamesh Khirke se Kyon Jhate hoon?” Also when he says “saab rahsthe god ke paas jhatha hai”.. Yes he was a great delight to watch, even that he had a small role he did really good in this film I think. There are many hilarious moments in the film as well, the way Sunil always sneaks into Anna house from the window. The Enter the Dragon club Scene at China Town was good! And there are many more moments. The Music was Amazing too songs like “Deewana Dil Deewana” and “aa Kash ke hum Hosh mein” are simply Great songs. To me all the songs in the film were very good and there is nothing you can hate about this film or its songs. The type of films I like are simple films the best there have been other great simple films that I love like. Jo Jeetha Wohi Sikandar Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman Swades And trust me people KHKN does go in that list! The films above where not big Hits JJWS was on Average and so was Raju ban gaya gentleman..Swades Flopped I have no idea why the films with the most simplest storylines flop or are not credited right? I have seen KHKN this film over 50 times atleast and I am still not bored of this film! Overall this is one of my most best films I have seen in bollywood and I wish you all see this film and love this film like I do, trust me you will not get bored one bit in the film!
