Kabhi mushy Kabhie dumb

Take six mammoth stars, potloads of money, an emotional story and a sensitive-savvy dirctor.Putting them all and mixing well together what will you get? A good film

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is centered around Yashovardhan(Amitabh Bachchan) and Nandini Raichand(Jaya Bachchan) a happy couple from Delhi’s upper crust. The Raichand’s have two son’s Rahul(Shahrukh Khan) and Rohan(Hrithik Roshan) the former of whom is an adopted boy but never treated like that. When Rahul brings home middle-class chattery Anjali(Kajol) as his wife Daddy gets disgusted and shuns the couple. Some years later when Rohan is fully grown-up he finds out why Bhaiiya has walked out he promises his Mommy that he will re-unite his family. His search for his brother lands him in London where Anjali and Rahul live happily with their son and Anjali’s sister Pooja(Kareena Kapoor). Their after Rohan tries every trick in his bag to re-unite his family.

Emotoinally manipulative from the word go this film tug’s your hearts and urges even hard viewers to let their tear ducts go.Some scenes can bring a lump in your throat.

The film biggest weakness is it is stuck in a groove and does not break away from it.Thankfully the film’s strength’s outnumber the weakness’s.And Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Ghum is good not brilliant.

Go watch it anyway because it’s unlikely you will see so much talent in the same film ever again
