Not all Gham, thoda sa Khushi

The first time I wanted to decide whether I should watch the movie, the vote of MouthShut.com, made me avoid it. But later, after the repeated pleas from my friend to watch it, I decided to relent.

Forget, the money, the mercs, the ’’rich’’ Chandini Chowk & the helicopters, forget the skimpily dressed Kare’’i’’na Kaapor, forget the loads of glycerine shedded by one and all alike, forget the loud music, forget the factual errors (cellphones and Aati Kya Khandala in the flashback), this film has its fair share of errors. But this film was never how to make a correct and proper story plot, this film is about ’’My Dream Couple’’, Amitabh and Jaya sharing the screen after 20 years, this film is about the 3 generations - Amitabh & Jaya, Shah Rukh & Kajol and Hrithik & Kareena coming together, this film is about the wonderful chemistry between Amitabh and Jaya, reminding me of their acting exploits of yester years.

This film to me is about ’’Loving’’. I never failed to notice the love of the mother to her 2 kids, the pain that shows on her face when the youngest son returns and she thinks of her elder son. I never failed to notice how the brothers shower love on each other and last but Most Importantly, for me , this film is about conveying to me the secrets that most fathers keep on to themselves, the secret as to how much they love us, while a mother takes pride in always showing her love, the father takes pride in hiding it away.

If you watched the movie and for one brief second atleast, thought of your Daddy, I think Karan Johar has his done credit to his subject .....
