I purchased KAFF chimney in July 2012 and the was happy with the service, when on 13th Nov 2013 suddenly the chimney caught fire. The entire chimney got burnt damaging the kitchen wall and modular fittings. I called the company guys (Complaint No 25575 raised on 14th Nov 2013). They visited my place and had no answer as to why the mishap happened.When they opened the chimney I found that every product had some plastic enclosure, one of the reason why the entire thing got burnt.
The company refused to give me any compensation instead asked me to go for a new model which has extra safety. They refused to give any discount as well on the new product. They say such incidents are rare and 1% chimneys get burnt in this fashion. I am totally dissatisfied with this company and don’t recommend this product to anyone. Don’t buy this product if you are concerned about your family’s safety.
