I am any away an Idiot for I sit in front of the Idiot box from nine to eleven in the night and see saw with the mindless emotions of prosaic characters who pop in and out of the soaps. But Ekta has taken all the better rational viewers for a ride too. Now consider this. In the Soap - Ghar Ghar Ki kahani, Sruti, daughter of Om and and the Mahan parvati falls in love with Aryan son of the assistant villain of the piece ’Ambika’. Now Ambika meets this guy whom she marries when she has failed in breaking up Agarwal family and got into trouble and her jailed husband has refused to bail her out. At this point of time it is shown that Sruti is at least 12 years old. This means that Aryan who is born to Ambika is atleast 12 to 13 years younger to Sruti. But still Ekta pulls wool over the viewer’s eyes. Viewers we certainly deserve a little respect not this kind of shabby soap viewing experience meted out by Ekta. I would have torn my hair if it were not mine.
