Balaji Telefilms!When a serial has to be produced by this banner, women may surely be pleased but the youngsters, they`ll gonna hate a serial made under this banner.All the serials made by Balaji Telefilms or Ekta kapoor, are called ’’saas-bahu’’ dramas, but to be a bit different Ekta Kapoor, made the serial ’’Kaahin To Hoga’’, on five sisters, but now the story of this serial is like all the other Ekta Kapoor serials!
THE SERIAL:
Telecasted on Star Plus at 11:00 pm from Monday-Thursday, ’’Kaahin To Hoga’’, started off as a sweet, fresh story of a girl who has 4 sisters but has now ended up as a boring ’’rona-dhona, typical Ekta Kapoor serial.All the same, background music, same dialogues, same acts, misunderstandings etc.First, it didn`t seem to be a saas-bahu serial, but now is turning into one!
THE CHARACTERS AND PERFORMANCES:
1.Kashish(Aamna Sharif):She is sweet, intelligent, caring, honest and hardworking.Aamna Sharif, as Kashish fits to the role, very well.She looks like the character she is playing, but sometimes looks too sweet, which makes her look very artificial.
Sujjal Garewal:(Rajeev Khandelwal)He is always crossed, never happy, and loves Kashish alot.An emotional person, who acts like an insensitive person!Rajeev Khandelwal acts very well, as the stubborn and strong-headed Sujjal.
3.Piyush Raheja(Rohit Bakshi):Piyush Raheja is a decent gentleman, who respects Kashish very much and is her best friend.Rohit Bakshi is also impressive, but not excellent!
The supporting artistes are alright!Shabbir Ahuliwalia, looks hateful and disgusting, because of the role he has got.Now, if you hate him, so this means that he has suceeded in what he had to-to be hateful!Deepak Parashar as the father of Sujjal, is pathetic.His golden hair and his dialogue delivery, make him the worst erformer of the serial.The one playing Kashish`s dad is excellent!The 5 sisters, especially the one playing Mahek are also good.Urvashi Dholakia, is in the same bitchy role, as Archie, which she plays as Komolika in Kasautii Zindagi Kay.The lady who plays Piyush`s mother looks scary and evil.
THE STORY:
Five sisters, live in a sweet, small house, with their father who is a professor, who are always happy and share all the moments of their lives together.The five sisters are Kashish, Mouli, Mahek, Kanan and Charu.Their father is Professor Sinha.Kashish works in an office, who has a very rude and arrogant boss Sujjal Grewal.Slowly and gradually, the boss begins to fall in love with Kashish.They have lots of fights , but later both of them admit their love to each other.Now.problems start when Kashish has a fight with Sujjal`s younger brother Rishi.One day, she is going to slap him, but doesn`t, still to Rishi, it is no less than a slap, so he decides to take revenge (Complete Ekta Kapoor....’’ishtyle’’).Piyush Raheja, Sujjal Garewal`s best friend, who lives with him in the same house, also falls in love with Kashish.On the other hand, Rishi is flirting with two of the sisters of Kashish, Mouli and Mahek, which creates jealousy between both the sisters.Kashish`s father tells Kashish that from the house of Rahejas and Garewals, they`ve asked to get their son married to her.(Hey, remember, Kashish is an Ekta Kapoor`s serial character).Kashish misunderstands, that she is getting married to Sujjal, where as her father is talking about Piyush, so she agrees for this marriage.Rishi, later cheats Mahek, by telling her that he loves her too much, and through this, he makes her pregnant.Lots of misunderstandings take place between Kashish and Sujjal, like Rishi, gives the wrong letter, written by Kashish to Sujjal.both the lovers start hating each other.Rishi doesn`t accept to marry Mahek and proves that Mahek has someone else`s child in her womb, so Professor Sinha throws her out of his home.Now, Kashish has to give a sacrifice, so she marries Piyush, in order to safe the respect of her family.Sujjal realises his mistakes but Kashish says that its too late, also that there was attraction between both of them and not love.Now after their marriage, Sujjal is still following and disturbing Kashish.
WHAT`S GOOD?
To begin with the title song ’’Kaahin To Hoga, is lovely and is also picturised very well on the 5 sisters.This is unusual, than those songs of other serials of Ekta Kapoor.The scenes picturised on Kashish and her father are extremely well and heart-waming.The scene where Kashish was leaving her house with Piyush, after marriage, was another heart warming sequence.The romantic scenes between Kashish and Sujjal, at the beginning were very entertaining!
WHAT`S BAD?
The serial is not gripping anymore!It is becoming the ’’as usual’’ stuff.People taking revenge, wanting property (like Piyush`s mom) and all that.The characters are very half-baked.The do not discuss all the misunderstandings between them with each other.Like Sujjal and Kashish never discussed their misunderstandings and never solved them, or Kashish never explained Mahek why she thought Rishi was not a nice guy.She never told Mahek what Rishi used to say to her, she just kept on saying that Rishi is not a nice guy, but never proved her point.Also, Mahek`s character is very poorly sketched, because she never realised what Rishi was doing to her.
