The ’K’ Brigade is back with another ’K’ Serial, Kahin To Hoga. The story of Kashish and her younger sisters. A well knit family of father Prof. Sinha and his five daughters. Like all K’ Serials this also started with a great deal of pomp but somehow these serials never keep upto their pre telecast flamboyance. It is really sad but true.
A fresh and hummable title song that can easily catch up to the lips of the listeners but once the episode starts its the typical sort of story again, a so called middle class girl with all her good to do values in life. I can’t understand why there is always has to be a mention of middle class and values does so called other classes of the society don’t any values at all. A perfect Indian type-casted woman crashes with a guy in a chemist shop then on the road where she almost runs him down. Then the very next morning she walks down to a big shot organization only to find the same guy is the MD of the company, she is interviewed by him and gets the job. Life is a coincidence but here it is in abundance to much for us to consume. I really wish getting a job was that easy, but then why is the percentage of educated unemployed increasing at such an alarming rate!!! May be these people haven’t actually come across someone like Sujal Gerewal or Piyush Raheja, sad for them isn’t it. Not only that she appointed God knows at which position but within a days time she is participating Board meeting for launch of new products and factories. OOPPSS!!! appraisals run at what a pace...
Then off-course the sisters, all the four siblings seems of the same age and apart from Kashish the rest are in college, the apparent age difference between the sisters is not defined well they all seem of the same age. The rest respecting Kashish being the eldest is not very convincing. The same is true for the Raheja siblings.
There is one good thing for the K serials they have maintained a brand identity of storyline and characterization. In each of there serials they have a goody goody pair or pairs, deeply in love(mihir-tulsi, Om-parvati, Prerna-anurag and now Kashish-sujal or piyush), some conspirators (mandira, payal, aarti, komolika, Mrs Vasundhra Raheja, Rishi and many more. the storyline of each of them at some point become predictable unless K serials take some unnecessary twist and turns...
I hope that since this serial is still at its inception and if the K group really wishes to provide the audience with nice interesting episodes that are worthwhile for keeping us awake till late at 11:30 to 11:45 each night they would really do something to build up a good, strong and more convincing storyline. Till then I would keep my fingers crossed...
