Kahiin To Hoga is the story of 5 sisters, the eldest being Kashish. The story is about the tribulations in Kashish’s life and how it affects the life of her sisters too. (Her sisters are suffering because of her foolishness) The story is said to be very similar to the popular Jane Austen Novel - Pride and Prejudice.
This serial was a breath of fresh air in comparison to Ekta’s other serials. Even the cast was new and refreshing especially Rajeev Khandelwal who portrays the role of Sujal Garewal perfectly. Infact the character of William Darcy in the novel and Sujal Garewal in the serial seem to be very similar.
Like in every other Balaji serial, the lovers are separated with a series of misunderstandings, which could have been easily avoided and infact cleared out. Not only this but there seemed to be too many blunders too especially Mahek’s pregnancy which seemed to stretch for more than a year!!!!!!!! Well it really seems to be a miracle that can happen only in Balaji serials. Mouli’s birthday party, the Saniya case etc all seem to have been forgotten. Logic is one word, which does not exist in Ekta’s dictionary.
To continue with the story the lovers are separated by Sujal’s younger brother and his best friends mother. Kashish marries Sujal’s best friend Piyush who in spite of knowing everything doesn’t bother to clear the misunderstandings between the lovers..........wonder what kind of friendship is this.
Well Sujal turns negative (Rajeev’s performance is just amazing!!!!!!!!!) wows to get Kashish back.......... The mismatched couple of Kashish and Piyush who looked more like a bro and sis too face some problems.
Kashish believes that Sujal is the cause of all the problems even though he is not. To many problems and Sujal is asked to leave the house by his very own father (I seriously have doubts as to whether he really is Sujal’s father ’cos he seems to treat his son like an outsider and treats his friends son Piyush as his own!!!!) The mismatched couple consummate their marriage. (Well the timing was wrong especially when Piyush lost the deal and the entire scene seemed to be more like a shot from Chandani Bar.........not something one could watch with the family!!!!!!!! Are you listening Ekta????????)
In the meantime Sujal who has started his own company with the help of his friend Archie who incidentally loves him almost fulfils his revenge against Piyush...........It reaches a stage where Kashish agrees to work for Sujal and so on to save the family. Well the next thing that happens is that Kashish is pregnant with Piyush’s child, Piyush dies in an accident, Sujal proposes to Kashish on Piyush’s Teravi. (Man that really required guts!!!!!!!!!) Sujal’s reasons were absolutely right after all he has always done what he thought was right with giving a damn to society.
Well three months later an investigating officer informs Kashish that Piyush’s death was not an accident. And then Kashish decides to do some investigation herself.... as predictable all the baseless proofs Kashish has are against Sujal!!!!!! In the meantime Kashish loses her child for which as usual she blames Sujal. (She doesn’t seem to be tired of blaming the poor innocent guy) Well then Miss Sherlock Holmes realises that the proofs she has are not really enough to jail Sujal. So she decides to take revenge in her own way...............by marrying Sujal and destroying him.
In between of all this enters Akshat a lawyer from abroad who happens to be Kashish’s best friend and incidentally he gets a job in Sujal’s company. What a coincidence?????? He gets to know about Sujal and Kashish and decides to bring them together. One wonders what kind of a lawyer is Akshat ’cos apart from eating apples and fooling around with Kashish’s sister Charu, (well looks like there is something brewing here) he doesn’t seem to do any work. The other plots are Varun and Mahek’s marriage all thanks to Sujal. Mouli’s singing career again with the help of Sujal.
Since she is living with his younger brother Rishi the same guy who got Kashish’s sister Mahek pregnant. Kashish’s other sister Kanan who earlier was supposed to be working for Archie’s father’s company as a designer is suddenly working for R&G (Raheja and Garewal) group of companies as an assistant who also has an assistant called Uday (well looks like she too has found her match) I am sure Prof. Sinha doesn’t need to worry a bit as his daughters seem to be very capable of finding their match. Infact all of them seem to be related in R&G somehow. I think now the name of R&G should be changed to RGS i.e. Raheja, Garewal and Sinha group of companies.
It really makes me wonder what did a guy like Sujal who still loves Kashish actually see in her. She doesn’t seem to have even an ounce of love for him................. One wonders whether she ever loved him. It would really be better if Ekta introduces a new girl for Sujal at least it will be much better than seeing Kashish’s stupidity. The story seems to be unnecessarily dragging especially Kashish’s revenge, which really makes no sense at all. Wake up Ekta!!!!!!!!!!
Of the cast Rajeev Khandelwal seems to be one of the best and most natural actor. He is the main reason why viewers are still watching the serial. Followed by his onscreen mother Veena - Madhuri Gogate and the earlier Varun - Ejaz Khan.
As for the rest of the cast the lesser said the better. Kashish really needs to take serious lessons in acting. She doesn’t seem to have any expressions at all. It would also be better if she could use lesser make up and less flashy clothes. For a woman who has just lost her husband and child..... She looks like she is celebrating rather than mourning. She dressing sense seems to have gone for a toss..........well her office wear seems more like a party wear.
Not that she does any work in the office. Urvashi as Archie in a negative role is good. Madhuri as Vasu (Kashish’s mother in law) and Shabbir as Rishi (Sujal’s younger brother) do tend to go over board. The rest of the cast like CG, Lalit, Prof Sinha, The new Varun (Manish), Akshat and Kashish’s sisters.......... they tend to overact to the extent that it gets viewers irritated.
