Story:
Kai Po Che, story of 3 friends Ishan, Omi and Govind.Story of their struggle, friendship and the ups and downs.
Ishan a avid cricket fan, Omi a to be politcian and Govind the balancing factor. They plan to open a sports good plus training center in the premises of a nearby temple. After much savings and combination, they finally succeed.
Dream fly high and they plan to rent a shop in the upcoming mall. But destiny has some other plans for them.Earthquake and Hindu Muslim riots turns the plan topsy turvy.Ishaan who aspires to guide Ali(a muslim boy) into a international level cricket player, strives to keep the hopes up.
After much tragedy and turns, we find the friends in the end, Govind with his kid and wife(Ishans sister Vidya).
Direction:
Abhishek Kapoor has become a pro with dealing 3 friends bonding stories. This movie is no different in its treatment.
The bonding and the brotherhood factor is obvious and entertaining.Apart from the slight dearth of emotions, no loopholes in the flick.Credit goes to the director.
Star cast:
All 3 newcomers did complete justice to their roles. Not even once you miss the presence of a A lister actor. You easily connect with the 3 boys and feel like being a part of their camaraderie.
The shining star of the gang was Sushant though(Ishan). His vivacious character, his smile and his selfless ways makes him irresistible.
Amrita Puri looked sweet and convincing in the small yet impressive role as Ishans sister.
Music:
Amit Trivedi rendered soulful music and did complete fairness to Swanand Kirkires lyrics.
Manja is my personal favourite of the lot.
Final Verdict:
Full marks to the gang of boys and 4 stars for Kai Po Che.
