All these years of my life ive been to several hospitals(like all of us) across northern india - sometimes for my own treatment OR a very near and dear OR just to pay a visit to someone who I(till now) thought has fallen in the hands of the greedy hospital chains.
Kailash broke my myth about Docs and Hospitals.
I availed their services in the month of May this year when my respected father, suffering from intestine and digestive problems was recommended by someone to consult one of their consultant docs. The person who recommended Kailash did it for two reasons:
Dad could claim his treatment through The Central Government Health Scheme(CGHS) being a retired Air Force officer.
He specifically mentioned that the Docs are really knowledgeable out there.
My family lives in Dehradun, and dad had already tried the treatment from all good doctors out there. He had lost almost 40 Kgs in the past 3-4 years with his ailment. Though we were all worried of his health deteriorating each day, however when my dad showed interest in visiting Kailash, I was initially not convinced with his decision - coz I thought doctors in Doon were competent enough to handle the case and also becoz the weather in Delhi around May-June is hell!
Well, whatever happens happens for good I should say.
Actual Review starts here: (apologies)
We visited Dr. Maneesh Paliwal, a young guy with lot of enthusiasm and knowledge.
A very down to earth person, with one of the most essential feature I find in a person - Sense of Humour. He had handled a similar case very recently and convinced us that all would be good.
Apart from his knowledge and confidence I noticed that every person @ the hospital - from a secuirty guard @ the gate to the staff in the Test Center were all very polite to everyone.
People from all walks - wealthy, poor, old, young were there and during all my 5-6 visits to the Hospital I never heard anyone complaining about the them in the corridors/lifts/stairs/gate etc. which most of the times one notices with people accompanying their patients do.
The doc was careful enough to understand my Dads health and the travelling distance from our home in Ghaziabad, and hence did not ask us to visit him very frequently. We consulted him just 4-5 times in the entire month. Just within 3 months now, my dad is fit like before and goes for his regular morning walks and is back on his regular Punjabi diet LOLZ. Long live the doctors!
One thing more I would like to highlight - the billing desk and the medical shop inside the premises is very well planned and efficient. They dont waste anyones useful time and everyone is attended with due respect and timeliness.
My last visit is the most worth describing. Just 3 weeks back my Dad asked me to collect his file which was sent for verification of his bills by the CGHS Deptt in Doon. The hospital staff were more than courteous to call him thrice to collect his file, whenever we could, as soon as the verification had been completed. In todays world nobody bothers for someone elses benefits. When I visited them finally after 2 weeks, they greeted me very well and directed me to the CMOs room and offered me a seat. During the time they fetched me the file I was offered tea/water. And without demanding any charges for the job(which some hospitals might do!) they got me the file within 5-10 min.
At the end I would say Kailash is a good hospital with excellent Docs and staff. My best wishes to your entire team in making our lives easier:) Thanks!
