Nice architecture

Kailashnatha temple is a very old temple .And is of Pallava dynasty . The temple is made of sandstone. and many parts of the temple have ruin.and the sculptures are in need of some repair. or else the situation will become worse. But still, the temple is look just amazing and so beautiful.

The temple is little far from main city. but you will easily got a auto rickshaw for the temple.

There is a huge shiv linga in the main shrine. while there are total of 16 shiva lingam . The main shrine for a few minutes in morning only.

What I personally liked is the architecture of the temple. and the sculptures made on the temple. so perfect. great design. there are different posed lions too in sculptures. and it shows the kingdoms of Pallava dynasty.

There is a hidden tunnel too. and opened only in morning. my bad luck I visited in evening. Well according to guide. one has to crawl that tunnel. and is made for kings for a secret escape. when enemies will attack them.

There is not much crowd there. and is a less know place for the people. and I suggest you to visit in  morning. as the climate will be great. and you can see main shrine and tunnel only that time only.

A great Archaeological site. great temple. great architecture. no entry fees. a must visit.
