Kairali theater in Trivandrum is part of the three screen theater complex run by the the state owned KSFDC( kerala state film development corporation), other two being sree and nila. They together don’t form a multiplex per se but comes close to one.
It is located in place where the kairali sree theater stood and was renovated in 2012-13 and made in the current three screen form. I’ve watched couple of movie there after renovation. A question in the minds of people who already went there was the quality of sound proofing, but it is done very well. And overall the quality of 7.1 sound system is also really good. You can have a fully immersive viewing experience. the screen though only 2k is of really good qulaity and the visuals are clear and crisp.
The last time I went there was about a year back and till, then the seats were also maintained as good as new. The seats are really comfortable, push back and cushioned and the theatre overall is clean and has a modern outlook. It is the same with the other two screens.
If you are movie buff in trivandrum do try this out. It is located very close to the thampanoor railway station and easily accessible from palayam as well as eastfort. The tickets costs 100 each.
