The film ’Kal ho na ho’ has been written about, criticised, appreciated and loved many times. But I still feel that I should put in my thoughts. One has only to see any awards function to know that it is one of the best movies of 2003. ’Koi mil gayaa’ and KHNH’ run neck to neck. But the songs of KHNH are way ahead and are better than any songs of any other film released last year.

Though ’Pretty woman’, and ’Its the time to disco’ did not sound Hindish when they were first aired, they caught on with the public. People sang and danced to their tunes all of late last year. And during the Dubai awards function Shahrukh Khan took it to great heights by dancing to them(and the other songs of the film) and even calling on stage local residents for participation.

Besids the songs, the acting of the trio in KHNH was superb. One canot forget chashmiss Preity and her dimples. Her confusion as to whom she loves and who loves her was too good. Saif also kept up tp his reputation and acted well showing that he has Sharmila blood in his veins.

The story was good. Shades of Anand no doubt, but still interesting. Shahrukh Khan did not overdo or exaggerate his illness, though the death scene could have been a bit short. Jaya Bachchan, Sushma Seth and all the other artistes have also acted well.

I saw a Hindi film after a long time and loved KHNH.
