Somebody in his review wrote Karan Johar’s latest offering(KHNH)...was there a spelling mistake somewhere...did he mean latest offending!!!
First one makes a love-triangle set in India, then after that me makes another love-triangle set in US and it becomes different!!Probably all karan Johar does need to do now is find the next locale for his shooting...the story as they say will take its own course(or the course of his earlier films).
I think all these directors are misusing the attachment of NRIs wih indian emotions. Let me put forth my view and I would appreciate comments on this to know if I am way off the mark!
Obviously Indians love cinema...no argument about that...so when they come to US some part of thiers still miss India and the way out to feel better is movies..bollywood movies...so the movie even if it is crappy gets a lot of viewers in US..just because either it stars their fav actor or just for the fact that its a Indian movie....this rakes in a lot of dollars for the makers and they happily keep recycling the same stuff again and again. All movies like this even if they flop in India and run decently overseas then they make money.
Even a movie like Yaadien did probably more business overseas than india.
