Kal Ho Naa Ho is a vigorous blend of romantic comedy and family melodrama. The central figure and narrator is Naina, whose life changes drastically after she meets her new neighbour, Aman.
Aman brings down the walls around Naina that she built around her after her father’s death. But when Naina finally opens herself to love, Aman breaks her heart unintentionally despite of being completely in love with her.
He breaks her heart because he is aware of his dying heart(cancer) and in order to make everyone around him happy before his premature death, he gets Naina marries to her best friend, Rohit and dies peacefully after making Rohit promise that Naina will belong to him for all the other lives.
