Kal Ho Naa Ho - So ironic it sounds but undoubtedly the best song of the upcoming Karan Johar movie calls for you to live in the present, but reminds you of his past movies music.
Shankar Ehsaan Loy - the music director have not really lived up to the expectations of the music lovers who still rightfully expect a lot from any of the Yash productions. Or rather, they are not to be blamed for it is only the directors choice.
The music of Kal Ho Naa Ho has a lively music, but unlike what Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum that put forth the great melodious work of Jatin-Lalit, the movie under consideration fails to do that.
The title song is beautiful undoubtedtly and to add to it Mahive is a nice song, but the rest is highly unattractive as compared to the music of the last two movies.
The music would however be a big time hit because of a few reasons like extreme marketing (killing the brains and minds of all the TV channel viewers [and all the channels - mind you] and also the absolute genius star cast of the movie. The filming would surely be glamourous and the dressing would catch the eyes again.
I would surely like to put forth one point of disappointment on the part of the listeners and the viewers as in there are other small and rather unrecognized movies like Waisa Bhi Hota Hai which is upcoming or considering a few of the past movies like Jhankaar Beats and others whose music is/was absolutely beautiful, but it was heard only after the movie was released/watched. Now all big banners in all the prime areas would have the Kal Ho Naa Ho promo everywhere rather disallowing the people to even realise that better stuff is yet unavailable in the market.
Karan Johar thinks he has become one of the best and the bravest directors to take up the Best Three then in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum only after his one movie and now being either modest or rather apprehensive about someone else directing his movie.
I still believe he should have taken up Jatin-Lalit yet again to get his music banner waving high.
